Volunteers play a crucial role in the running of the food bank, from collecting and sorting donations to processing vouchers and helping to create a welcoming space for people in crisis.
We are currently looking for volunteers for the following roles.
TRUSTEES – We are looking for some more trustees with a focus on Financial and Safeguarding, please contact Verity on [email protected]
SAFE GUARDING LEAD – please contact Linda on [email protected] for further details of this role..
TELEPHONE SUPPORT (home based) – We are looking for a volunteer to answer the phone linked to the number on the Lichfield Foodbank website. The role is carried out Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, calls arrive on an ad-hoc basis. The majority of calls are from people looking to donate food though there may be calls from clients looking for a voucher. Guidance will be provided on how to signpost people to the relevant section of the food bank. Please download an application form and return to Linda.
