Easter is another significant time for food banks

Lent
begins – Wednesday, February 22
ends – Saturday, April 8
Lent is the period of six weeks (40 days not including Sundays) leading up to Easter.
During Lent, why not ask your local school, church or work place to donate food and toiletries to the Lichfield foodbank which can then be given out to people in need who are referred to the food bank over the Easter period, or alternatively you can do this yourself.
Why not use our ADLENT calendar over the next 40 days in order to collect a variety of goods to donate.
40 for 40 Challenge
By giving up 40 pence a day for the 40 days of Lent you can raise enough to help support local people in Lichfield in crisis this Easter.
All you have to do is find an old jam jar or a similar container and start collecting.
