Lichfield foodbank is suggesting a new spin on an old festive tradition to help people in food poverty after Christmas and into the New Year!
With a food collection at Tesco on 1st to 3rd December, and 200 festive food bags already in the making, we hope to be able to ensure that no-one in Lichfield need go hungry at Christmas.
But what about when the festivities die down? The Reverse Advent Calendar can help provide much needed food at the darkest and coldest time of year.
How does it work?
Instead of tucking into a chocolate treat, why not celebrate the countdown to Christmas by putting aside an item of food in a box or bag every day?
You can donate them to Lichfield foodbank on Christmas Eve or just after Christmas in one of the foodboxes listed below.
It’s a fun way for people of all ages to provide our clients with two gifts to treasure this Christmas and New Year – food and the knowledge that someone cares.
